Growing up I always noticed how my Mum had a winter wardrobe and a summer wardrobe. When the sun came out the linens and sun dresses were unpacked, and when the days turned colder the coats made an appearance while the lighter clothes were packed neatly away again under the bed. I’ve never been like that, I always look for ways to wear my clothes all year round. Granted, heavy knitwear cannot be worn in July (well, you never know, it is England after all), but I find summer clothes can always be layered up in colder climates.
I found this amazing multicoloured check midi dress in a charity shop when I was visiting my parents a couple of weeks back. Instantly, I fell in love. The colours are perfect and the style is very me (midi, buttons, short sleeves, in at the waist…). I think it’s totally wearable in the summer – just chuck a cardigan over it when the sun goes in. And then to bring it into winter I’ll just wear a pair of tights and a more chunky knit! Lovely jubly.

Same – dont ave a SS and AW wardrobe.
the dress is gorge, great find.
