You can often find me in the makeup isles in Boots and/or Superdrug, perusing the budget makeup buys and seeing what new fancies are up for grabs. This week I got a little bit distracted by a couple of new makeup items, plus a little miracle eye cream too. Let me introduce you to my new arrivals…
Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown – I’ve already given this a go and I am in love. I still use a touch of brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows, but then just set everything into place with this little brow gel. The wand is a little bit odd, but I can work around it.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold – I go on and on (and on) about the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows, because they’re just so damn good! This is the fifth I’ve acquired, and it’s all about the sparkle. The gold isn’t too bright, and it makes a perfect glittery base without being too OTT.
Rimmel Moisture Renew in Vintage Pink – I’d heard great things about this line of lipsticks, so when I spied them all in a row I started to swatch. I opted for Vintage Pink, a dusky pink which is great for the daytime. My only qualm is the smell… Other than that I’m sold!
Philosophy Miracle Worker Eye Cream* – Always on the look out for the perfect eye cream, me. I haven’t heard much about this particular eye cream and this is my very first Philosophy product, so I’m very intrigued to see how this goes! If the name is anything to go by, then I have very high hopes.
Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Always Plum – Is it obvious that it was 3 for 2 on Maybelline? Well, I’m a sucker for a 342. This wasn’t something I’d seen around, but it was interesting and I enjoyed the swatches… In the end I went for Always Plum, which was a little too similar in hue to Rimmel Moisture Renew Vintage Pink, but I only noticed this at the till… Well, you can’t have enough dusty pink tones in your lipstick collection can you?
