Black Faux Crocodile Bag – TK Maxx
Red Oriental Dress – Topshop
Black Sandals – Topshop
Gold 3 Chain Necklace – Freedom at Topshop
Lipstick – New York Apple by MAC
Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a new bag a day? Unfortunately we don’t have this luxury (unless you’re a celebrity), but treating yourself to a new bag every now and then really improves your outfit… and mood! This gorgeous black bag from TK Maxx adds a touch of sophistication to my outfits, and really makes me feel grown up. After all, I am 25 now… Haha! I love the crocodile effect as well as the long shoulder straps, and the size is perfect for fitting all my bits and pieces in.
My mum got me the dress for my birthday; I adore the oriental floral print on the red fabric with the gold thread running through. Unfortunately, like most Topshop products, it’s not made amazingly well as the seams are starting to come away and the gold print keeps flaking off. It’s such as shame as I love Topshop (well, who doesn’t) but everything I buy never lasts long. Saying that, I’ll still buy from them!! I purchased the black sandals the other day, and I love wearing them with tights (after all, they probably won’t last until the summer)!
…How is it March already???!!!
Geometric Christmas Jumper – Primark (mens)
White blouse with pearl embellished collar – Miss Selfridge
Black pleather mini skirt – H&M
White shoes with pink trim – River Island
Rose gold pointy drop earrings – Freedom @ Topshop
Callum gave me this jumper for Christmas, and I loved it so much that I knew I’d have to wear it after the festive season. And you know what? I did just that! Who cares if it isn’t Christmas anymore?
I was also given these rose gold earrings, and I absolutely love them. Rose gold is me absolute fave and I’ve invested in rather a lot of jewellery in this pretty hue.
Can you believe it’s almost February? That means it’s almost my birthday, which means I’m almost TWENTY FIVE :O
Red and orange floral top – Primark
Denim jacket – eBay
Burgundy maxi skirt - Primark
Hexagonal gold necklace – Freedom @ Topshop
Turquoise circle ring – Whistles
Pyramid ring – Madewell
Black plaited shopper tote bag – eBay
Green tassel loafers – Primark
I picked up this top and skirt on a Primark visit a few weeks ago, and instantly knew that they would be my new favourite combo. The colours are definitely more autumnal, but I think that it rather suits a London summer (rain-filled one minute, sweltering the next). I do hope that the heat returns soon though, it’s a bit too chilly for me at the moment! I’ve spent today watching TV and films (work has been so draining this week) but tomorrow I’m being proactive Emily and I have a plan.
Right, we’re off to cook risotto before the football starts (pfft, football).
I spotted Cat-cat…
Callum was made to feature on the blog (not impressed…)
Polka dot shirt – Forever21 (from New York)
Green cardigan - Urban Outfitters (sample sale)
Red maxi skirt – Primark
Mustard moccasins – Topshop
Blue round earrings – Freedom @ Topshop
Lips – MAC in Ruby Woo
This is Cat-cat. He lives near me and often tries to get into my flat when the window is open. He may be a girl, and he also may be called Twilight. I choose to ignore this information (who calls their cat Twilight?!). Just look how fluffy he is! And he is the friendliest cat ever! I sort of maybe want to steal him.
I had an absolutely lovely Mothers day weekend. I visited my family and it was really good despite the weather. We visited both my grandmothers, was given some vintage clothes, went to two car boot sales and did a round of the charity shops. Perfection! I bought my mum a MAC lipstick in Hot Gossip and she loved it, which was really good because I felt like I had taken a massive risk buying her a MAC lipstick. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends as much as me!
Yellow knit jumper – Loft (New York)
Navy blazer – H&M
Hexagon necklace – Freedom @ Topshop
Black pleather skirt – H&M
Navy tights – New Look
Burgundy socks – Primark
Brown shoes – Primark
Lips – Diva by MAC
For some reason this outfit reminds me of a bumble bee, hence the Billie Piper reference (ah, the 90′s). I love this knit – I picked it up in Loft by Times Square in New York. It was pricey (for me) but my sister made me buy it. Also, I picked up a lot of make up when I was in the US. Quite a bit. Some may say too much. I don’t. MAC and Sephora were the main culprits… I may or may not have bought 5 MAC lipsticks. This is one of them – Diva. It is so gorgeous, dramatic and in my opinion rather sexy. It’s very much like my beloved Rebel, but with red tones which create a wonderful burgundy. I find it matures at the day goes on (and you top it up), which looks even better!
I’m off to finally watch The Artist. Our local cinema didn’t show it when it first came out and it’s only just decided to (I think they noticed it won a couple of Oscars or something?).
