Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always loved Harrods. It was my favourite department store in London, and it still is to this day. As soon as you can see the immensely beautiful building with the flags dripping from its walls and the exquisite windows on every side, you can instantly tell how grand and impressive your visit is going to be. I take great pleasure in roaming the many departments and floors; admiring the lavish handbags, mouth-watering foods, enviable gowns and adorable puppies (I have to admit, my favourite part of Harrods is Pet Kingdom). The mix of customers inside Harrods is thrilling – from awestruck tourists to cash-laden billionaires. But there is so much for the middle man like me and you too. Because there is such a huge mixture of price points within the store this means that it attracts a wide range of people from all over the world. It is a true landmark of England.
I thought I would pick a few bits and pieces on my current wish list, as well as a handful of pieces I wish I could buy… If only I had the money.
Charlotte Olympia creates gorgeous shoes year after year, and the cream and black Melody Raffia Wedge really stand out for me. Wedges are my favourite heels, and the quirky cross and pom-pom touches make me long for these to be in my shoe collection.
Stella McCartney is one of my favourite British designers, and I love the colour of the peachy pink snake skin scarf. It would be the perfect accessory to add a touch of pizazz to a monotone outfit.
I’m a sucker for a gorgeous blouse, and the classic and crisp black and white silk blouse by ALC is such a multi-lingual piece which would go with so many of my outfits.
Guerlain is a beauty brand loved by so many, and the exclusive Guerlain by Emilio Pucci compact blusher is something that has really caught my eye… Oh, if only!
Chloe is, and always has been, my number one designer for accessories and apparel. Every season they bring out something even more beautiful, and every season I am hungry for everything they have made. The stunning peach Marcie bag is something I’ve wanted ever since it made an appearance. I just need to save my pennies…
Harrods themselves have their own collection which is absolutely beautiful. I love a good leather skirt, and the shape and length of this beauty would fit into my wardrobe seamlessly.
Of course, the Yves Saint Laurent Arty Ring. I’m sure everyone and their mother lusted after the classic style last year, and unfortunately there were a fair few knock-offs, some of which were truly awful. This exquisite gold and black piece of jewellery really excites me, and the fact that the shape has evolved makes it even more desirable.
Last but certainly not least, a fragrance I have wanted for almost a year now is the Tom Ford Violet Blonde perfume. Its scent is musky yet slightly floral, and it suits every season. I almost bought a bottle recently and it’s something I’m definitely asking for at Christmas!
