I adore autumn, and this outfit captures the autumnal spirit perfectly for me. It’s been a bit chilly recently – it feels more like winter here in London… But it gives me a chance to wrap up!
We are busy packing up our little flat and today I spend the whole day painting the walls white again. We are moving in two weeks, yay!
Red and orange floral top – Primark
Denim jacket – eBay
Burgundy maxi skirt - Primark
Hexagonal gold necklace – Freedom @ Topshop
Turquoise circle ring – Whistles
Pyramid ring – Madewell
Black plaited shopper tote bag – eBay
Green tassel loafers – Primark
I picked up this top and skirt on a Primark visit a few weeks ago, and instantly knew that they would be my new favourite combo. The colours are definitely more autumnal, but I think that it rather suits a London summer (rain-filled one minute, sweltering the next). I do hope that the heat returns soon though, it’s a bit too chilly for me at the moment! I’ve spent today watching TV and films (work has been so draining this week) but tomorrow I’m being proactive Emily and I have a plan.
Right, we’re off to cook risotto before the football starts (pfft, football).

I bought this Whistles dress in the sale for £20, it was a total steal! It’s rather wintery, but as the weather has decided to bum out on us it’s still okay to wear for a while, I hope! When I was in New York I absolutely fell in love with Madewell, this gorgeous shop on Broadway, which is where I got the pyramid ring. Their windows were totally up my street – very busy with a hint of vintage and lots, LOTS of props. The product was also amazing but totally out of my price range. There was a dress I almost bought for just under $200… mental. Look at their website, but they don’t ship to the UK… I’m so sad!

Brown brogues – Topshop
Festive nails - One Hot Minute by Topshop with Gold Finger by Models Own
This was my Christmas day outfit! I don’t usually dress up for Christmas (Pyjamas and a festive jumper anyone?!) but when I saw this gorgeous horse shoe print dress in the Whistles Winter sale I had to treat myself, and thought Christmas day was the perfect opportunity for me to wear it. Navy is one of my favourite Autumn/Winter shades, and when teamed with a bit of lace and some pleats it’s perfection (in my humble opinion).
Christmas was a lovely little break for me – I had to work on Christmas Eve (a Saturday!!!), but I managed to finish at 4.45pm (I had started at 7am) and then raced to my parents house with Callum in tow. On Christmas morning we slept in for a little bit (lush), and I found that Father Christmas had visited (or, Farmer Christmas as my dad reminds me). Very sweetly, my parents had made a stocking each for Callum and I, full of fun little bits and pieces. We all then shared our gifts and Callum and I started on the roast dinner. It took us roughly three hours, and it was absolutely amazing if I do say so myself! I treated myself to a couple of ciders and managed a bottle of wine too. I had four days off in total, which is the most I’ve had off for Christmas in about four years I think!
I hope everyone else had (or is still having, for some of you lucky lot) a lovely festive period! This will be my last post of 2011… See you in the new year!

I’ve been so inspired by leather and lace recently – There is so much around and I recently did a little something at work and I wanted to wear everything I had picked… The joys of working in fashion, eh? Bad on my bank balance. I reaalllyyy want these brogues – I’ve seen them in real life and they are so soft. Also the waistcoat is something I used at work and it is amazing, I wish it wasn’t so expensive!
This week has been mental at work. To cut a long story short we used to have a team of four + manager but this week I’ve been by myself… I’m absolutely shattered! Tonight I’m home alone so I treated myself to a Nandos and now I’m catching up on the new seasons of TV shows… So far I’ve watched Glee (I’m guilty of being a show tunes fan), How I Met Your Mother (Still going strong after all these years), Castle (It’s still a load of crap), Two and a Half Men (Ashton Kutcher… Come on!) and Parenthood (I hate how it will never be as good as Brothers & Sisters (RIP)). I still have The Big Bang Theory and Greys Anatomy, as well as our telly shows – Made in Chelsea and other rubbish like that. Just in case anyone is also a massive TV geek. And I haven’t even checked out the new US pilots for this season yet! #geek
